Construction Project Scheduler

Job Description

Phalcon, Ltd., with offices in CT, MA, NJ, MD, VA and TN is looking for a Construction Project Scheduler with at least 2 years of experience related to project controls (cost & schedule) & reporting activities supporting construction projects. The ideal candidate will have specific experience supporting all types of construction projects in all aspects of project controls and reporting, including, project change management, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development and schedule control.

Candidate must be experienced in the following tasks

  • Creation of baseline schedule submissions and provide narrative
  • Review contractor’s baseline schedule submissions and provide narrative
  • Perform QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals for conformance with contract
  • Review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones
  • Perform schedule impact analysis for contractor change orders and conduct schedule negotiations for contractor change orders
  • Perform Critical Path analysis and Earned Value analysis
  • Track and be involved in project issues as they relate to project schedules
  • Walk the field, and perform weekly and monthly schedule progress and provide reports to the project OAR and upper management
  • Ability to read drawings, determine if work is in or out of scope and understand terms and conditions of the contract to determine compensability, as well as concurrent delays
  • Proactively anticipate schedule impacts and advise Project Team concerning same
  • Effectively communicate with the contractor regarding all schedule/progress related matters and concerns in the weekly status meetings and all other schedule related meetings
  • Review, evaluate and reject or approve contractor recovery schedules
  • Prepare reports as needed and directed by management
  • Perform program schedule QA/QC review and updates

Required Experience

  • Minimum of (2) years of experience in Construction Scheduling, preferably for Electrical projects
  • Experience with Primavera 6.0 preferred
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling the design and construction of large-scale, complex projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort. Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is desirable.
  • Microsoft Office Suite of software is required
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam is required
  • Vocational certificate or two-year degree in Engineering, or related field experience required.
  • BS Degree in Engineering is preferred or STEM related curriculum
  • Experience with Utility work is preferred

Electrical Field Service Technician

Basic Requirements

Job Description

The Estimator will review bid documents for construction of transmission and distribution electrical infrastructure, will gather information and requirements to prepare cost estimates. Detailed cost estimates will include: unit pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Primary Responsibilities of the estimator include:

Job Description

The junior estimator will perform cost estimating at entry level for construction of commercial, industrial, and transmission and distribution electrical infrastructure project. The successful candidate review bid documents and gather information and requirements to prepare cost estimates. Job Description/Duties:

  • Assist project management in oversight on multiple substation projects either in role of a prime contractor or as a subcontractor
  • Promote safety culture through practices, participation, image and awareness
  • Analyze project specific technical information and provide direction to estimating and project management regarding interpretation of information for use in pricing, budgeting, purchasing, scheduling, project scope development, from project inception to completion

The construction project manager will manage, direct and coordinate all aspects of project life cycle of multiple and simultaneous projects. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-driven team player responsible for the coordination of all project requirements included but not limited to: scope, schedule, procurement, budget, client relations, construction management, and contract administration. Candidate must be experienced in the following tasks

  • Creation of baseline schedule submissions and provide narrative
  • Review contractor’s baseline schedule submissions and provide narrative
  • Perform QA/QC on contractor schedule submittals for conformance with contract
  • Review critical path, cost loading, schedule content, use of relationships and lag, constraints and milestones

  • Proactively anticipate schedule impacts and advise Project Team concerning same
  • Effectively communicate with the contractor regarding all schedule/progress related matters and concerns in the weekly status meetings and all other schedule related meetings
  • Review, evaluate and reject or approve contractor recovery schedules
  • Prepare reports as needed and directed by management
  • Perform program schedule QA/QC review and updates

Required Experience

  • Minimum of (2) years of experience in Construction Scheduling, preferably for Electrical projects
  • Experience with Primavera 6.0 preferred
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling the design and construction of large-scale, complex projects; including developing and managing a progress reporting methodology for a complicated design effort. Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk delivery methods is desirable.
  • Microsoft Office Suite of software is required
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam is required
  • Vocational certificate or two-year degree in Engineering, or related field experience required.
  • BS Degree in Engineering is preferred or STEM related curriculum

The junior estimator will perform cost estimating at entry level for construction of commercial, industrial, and transmission and distribution electrical infrastructure project. The successful candidate review bid documents and gather information and requirements to prepare cost estimates. Accounts Payable Associate

Summary/Objective

In this role, you will support the Accounting Manager, Project Managers, and Project Administrators in entering all incoming invoices into our systems and ensure all vendor payments are processed correctly and in a timely manner. The supporting role works closely with a team on collecting, entering information and problem solving.  Organization and excellent communication with all company departments and vendor counterparts is the largest part of this position.

Job Description

Job Description

The junior estimator will perform cost estimating at entry level for construction of commercial, industrial, and transmission and distribution electrical infrastructure project. The successful candidate review bid documents and gather information and requirements to prepare cost estimates. Detailed cost estimates will include: unit pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. In addition, the estimator will be responsible to incorporate vendors, clients and subcontractors information into a final RFP cost estimate.

Primary Responsibilities of the estimator include:

  • Perform quantity surveys and pricing of electrical components/systems for new and renovation construction projects
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates in a timely manner and to meet all schedules
  • Prepare accurate and competitive bids with detail, format, and design consistent with project management systems and as required by the customer.
  • Participate in and promote pre-job information accumulation and reviews in connection with project managers and superintendent

Safety Engineer

The Safety Engineer reports directly to the Safety Lead.  This Safety Professional ensures all workers on the construction site are working in a safe environment and following safety guidelines, procedures and policies.  Collaborates with Contractors, The Client, management, electricians and safety personnel to eliminate potential hazards and find ways to reduce or eliminate hazardous threats from this project site. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 hours during core hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

  3. Safety Engineers shall have 3 years full-time construction safety experience and an OSHA 30 construction training

Qualifications
